A lot of effort has been made to provide the main lodge with softer touches that make it feel like a home. This warm design separates it from the more institutional settings of other programs, creating an environment that is more tranquil and serene. The more natural environment is intended to make the kids feel at ease and safe.
The spacious structure of the main lodge is at the center of life here where most of the Turning Winds activities are held. School classrooms are at the lower level where clients encounter positive messages of hope left by those that went before them. Bedrooms are also here with dining at the rear of the building with views looking out over the spectacular landscape.
The stairs at the center of the lodge take you to the spaces where individual therapy is performed. Every detail has been considered and confirmed by the outcomes we achieve. While the young men and women coming here may start out feeling they have to be here, it isn’t long before peace and clarity make this a place where they want to be.
